Mission:

To develop, staff, supervise and implement the Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) command information, community relations and media relations programs.

Functions:

Maintain liaison with local news media and civilian communities. Act as escort for visiting news media personnel. Serve as the only authorized spokesperson for YPG. Publishes the weekly newspaper, "The Outpost".

Promote the missions of individual service activities and assist them wherever possible. Prepare news releases concerning post events and programs for distribution to external civilian media, industry media and armed forces media.
